Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and architects to create and implement technical solutions that fulfill functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.

• Lead a team of tech leads managing Scrum teams, offering coaching and serving as an escalation point for troubleshooting issues.

• Propel organization-wide change initiatives aimed at enhancing quality, speed, and efficiency.

• Supervise the proactive maintenance of IaaS/SaaS and on-premise applications spanning Digital, Cards, Risk, and Merchant Services.

• Coordinate and assist in diagnosing code defects, data errors, and configuration issues to identify the root causes of application errors.

• Provide support for critical and complex business applications.

• Utilize judgment within established procedures and protocols to determine suitable actions.

• Promote the implementation of departmental best practices and guidelines while ensuring compliance with standards.

• Design and develop both real-time and file-based integrations, while optimizing database-level processing.

• Enhance the developer experience by producing elegant, maintainable, well-documented, and secure code.

• Commit to continuous self-improvement and actively support team development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science with over 3 years of relevant experience.

• Intermediate to strong expertise in designing or modifying modern microservice-based architectures.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, including communication and negotiation abilities.

• In-depth knowledge and experience with Java 11 or higher.

• Proficient understanding and experience with standard design patterns such as Factories, Command, Facade, Adapter, etc.

• Strong knowledge and experience with Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA).

• Extensive experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.

• Advanced knowledge and experience with RESTful services and APIs.

• Proficient in unit testing and mocking frameworks.

• Strong knowledge and experience with Git version control.

• Advanced knowledge and experience using Postman for API testing.

• Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes technologies.

• Strong understanding of Scrum and Agile methodologies.

• Advanced knowledge and experience with wikis.

• Experience in developing automation testing frameworks is preferred.

• Preferred experience in React UI development.

• Experience in GitLab pipeline development is preferred.

• Banking industry experience is a plus but not mandatory.
