Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and deliver features, services, and components aimed at customers, from technical design to production.

• Assess technical methodologies and trade-offs while playing a role in system architecture.

• Balance the needs of customers with business priorities, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Create and manage reliable, scalable web services, APIs, and distributed systems.

• Integrate third-party services and SaaS platforms through APIs, events, webhooks, and other integration patterns.

• Uphold engineering standards through unit, functional, and integration testing, as well as code and design reviews.

• Enhance system reliability, performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Collaborate with Product and UX teams to convert customer needs into technical solutions and cohesive digital experiences.

• Address complex technical and business challenges, identify risks early, and make decisions with incomplete information.

• Work collaboratively with engineering teams on architecture and technical standards.

• Mentor and support engineers through knowledge sharing, feedback, and technical guidance.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

• Proven software development experience in building and supporting customer-facing software systems.

• Strong foundation in software engineering with a record of delivering production-quality code.

• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining reliable web services and APIs.

• Familiarity with distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and contemporary software development practices.

• Experience in integrating third-party services or platforms using APIs, events, webhooks, or similar technologies.

• Ability to work autonomously, exercise sound technical judgment, and assess technical trade-offs.

• Strong problem-solving abilities to simplify complex challenges while adhering to high engineering standards.

• Experience working alongside Product, UX, and engineering stakeholders.

• Excellent communication skills with a background in participating in technical discussions, code reviews, and design reviews.

• Preferred: experience with e-commerce or marketplace systems.

• Preferred: experience in building high-performance customer-facing applications and optimizing frontend performance.

• Preferred: experience designing scalable distributed systems and contributing to architecture across multiple teams.

• Preferred: experience mentoring engineers, coordinating technical initiatives, or influencing engineering standards.

• Preferred: experience in a fast-paced environment where requirements change.
