This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee projects from initial concept to final delivery, encompassing scoping, planning, and the provision of high-quality solutions.
• Assess workload and manage expectations with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Lead discussions on process or SDLC modifications following bugs, overlooked requirements, or performance challenges.
• Engage in the on-call rotation.
• Collaborate directly with Product, Support, Finance, and other stakeholders to define project scope and establish timelines.
• Provide high-level progress reports to stakeholders outside the Engineering team.
• Interact with internal teams regarding new features and user-facing functionalities.
• Contribute across the Edovo software stack.
• Enable scalable, extendable, maintainable, and testable design decisions.
• Balance the needs of the platform with the requirements of the business.
• Direct strategic investments in platform, tooling, and infrastructure enhancements.
• Keep abreast of industry advancements, including AI-assisted development practices.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, architectural discussions, and collaborative pairing.
• Assist less-experienced engineers in developing project plans and estimating workloads.
• Report to a Software Engineering Manager.
• Willingness to travel up to 15%, including bi-annual company retreats in Spring and Fall.
• 5+ years of experience in contemporary full-stack web application development.
• Experience with backend systems handling tens of millions of requests daily.
• Proficiency in Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience in developing rich client web applications using JavaScript.
• Familiarity with React.
• Knowledge of automated testing, continuous deployment, and monitoring/alerting.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with AWS infrastructure and/or similar cloud-native architectures.
• Proven ability to manage a project from start to finish with minimal supervision.
• Experience mentoring other engineers or leading technical projects.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a structured approach.
• Detail-oriented mindset.
• Current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Must currently reside in the United States.
