Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of key project components and drive them to successful completion.

• Develop and implement scalable backend services and APIs for international brands.

• Clarify incomplete or ambiguous specifications into clear requirements, tasks, stories, and estimates.

• Engage in the technical design of systems, schemas, and pipelines.

• Provide guidance on architectural and infrastructure decisions.

• Integrate third-party APIs and systems, designing service contracts effectively.

• Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback.

• Identify technical blockers, risks, and client-facing issues at an early stage.

• Promote best practices in testing, security, performance, and CI/CD.

• Collaborate directly with client stakeholders through email, calls, and in-person meetings.

• Create demo and presentation materials.

• Incorporate AI and agentic capabilities into client projects.

• Share knowledge internally via Slack, brown bags, and DEPT U, as well as externally through articles or presentations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining production-level backend systems utilized by real users.

• High proficiency in Python programming.

• Experience in designing and integrating APIs and third-party systems.

• Solid knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL database platforms.

• Familiarity with modern frontend development, ideally with Angular.

• Experience with at least one major cloud provider; Google Cloud is preferred, but AWS or Azure are also acceptable.

• Daily, practical use of GenAI productivity tools such as Gemini CLI, Claude Code, or Codex.

• Understanding of essential LLM concepts.

• Proficient with Git, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD tools.

• Ability to conduct independent research and recognize when assistance is needed.

• Proven ability to deliver results in a fast-paced setting.

• E-Verify participation requires authorization to work in the U.S.

• Bonus: experience in mentoring engineers, familiarity with agent development frameworks, and contributions to open source, technical writing, or conference speaking.
