Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and enhance member support services for Aetna Health's web and mobile applications.

• Design, develop, and execute software solutions and systems.

• Leverage advanced technical skills to architect and code software applications.

• Perform system testing and debugging activities.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Play a key role in shaping the technical direction and fostering innovation in digital engineering projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• At least 3 years of experience in one or more of the following: Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, or SQL.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in designing, building, and testing REST APIs and microservices.

• At least 2 years of experience with AWS, GCP, or alternative cloud systems.

• Familiarity with unit and integration testing frameworks like Jest and Mocha.

• Experience using Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, and other generative AI technologies.

• Understanding of CI/CD principles with tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or other pipeline systems.

• Background in microservice and serverless architectures.

• Experience with open source frameworks.

• Proficient in Agile methodologies.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (high school diploma plus 4 years relevant experience).
