Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage in projects across the entire stack, driving initiatives from inception to completion.

• Elevate the team's capabilities through expertise in API or system architecture, application development, cloud infrastructure, healthcare data, or similar domains.

• Collaborate with software developers, machine learning researchers, healthcare professionals, product managers, and UX researchers.

• Create new user-facing features and enhance existing ones.

• Work alongside backend engineers to ensure consistent APIs and frontend interaction patterns.

• Lead and influence architectural decisions for cross-team applications.

• Generate comprehensive technical specifications and feature documentation.

• Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

• Conduct meetings with product owners, AI/ML researchers, healthcare providers, and stakeholders utilizing Agile methodologies to define, negotiate, and estimate application features.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.

• 5–7 years of professional experience as a full-stack engineer, responsible for features from design through delivery and iteration.

• Proficient in React, including components, hooks, state management, and performance optimization.

• Experience with Python backend technologies, preferably using asynchronous frameworks such as FastAPI or Starlette.

• Familiarity with both NoSQL and relational databases, including DynamoDB and Postgres.

• Comfort with asynchronous workflows, including background jobs, retries, idempotency, and eventual consistency.

• Proven experience utilizing testing to enhance product quality, including end-to-end coverage, visual regression testing, and continuous integration.

• Knowledge of AWS, Docker, Terraform, AI/ML technologies, Git, and RESTful services.

• Experience with React Native/Expo or cross-platform mobile development is a plus.

• Familiarity with visual/snapshot regression testing, Storybook, or harness engineering is a plus.

• Experience in building design systems or component libraries is a plus.

• Knowledge of accessibility standards, including WCAG and screen readers, is a plus.

• Experience with LLM applications, including streaming, tool calling, and evaluation-driven iteration, is a plus.

• Familiarity with Temporal or other durable execution systems is a plus.

• Experience with healthcare data standards, including CDA/CCD/FHIR, is advantageous.
