Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the foundational edge platform operating across various hardware within a hybrid edge-cloud architecture.

• Develop and incorporate video management functionalities, encompassing streaming, recording, and real-time AI processing.

• Design and enhance low-latency, high-performance workloads at the edge.

• Create secure, efficient communication channels between edge devices and cloud infrastructures.

• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to deploy and fine-tune on-device models.

• Take ownership of performance under load by profiling CPU and memory, identifying bottlenecks, and resolving them.

• Engage in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization across the entire stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in Go, Rust, or TypeScript (at least one, preferably two).

• Demonstrated experience with multithreaded and concurrent programming.

• Experience in performance profiling and optimization under actual production loads on dedicated hardware.

• Proficient in deploying and managing Docker/containerized workloads.

• Background in building for edge computing or embedded systems in resource-limited environments.

• Strong understanding of networking and distributed systems fundamentals.

• Experience with real-time systems and low-latency design.

• Familiarity with video streaming or pipeline development (preferred).

• Knowledge of storage systems and data management at the edge (preferred).

• Experience integrating cloud services such as AWS S3, GCP, MQTT, or Kafka (preferred).

• Experience in deploying AI/ML models on edge devices (preferred).

• Understanding of security principles including encryption, secure communication, and zero trust (preferred).
