Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the foundational edge platform operating across various hardware within a hybrid edge-cloud framework.

• Develop and integrate capabilities for video management, including streaming, recording, and real-time AI processing.

• Design and enhance low-latency, high-performance workloads at the edge.

• Create secure and efficient communication pipelines connecting edge devices to cloud systems.

• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to implement and optimize on-device models.

• Take ownership of performance under load by profiling CPU and memory, identifying bottlenecks, and resolving them.

• Engage in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning across the entire stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in Go, Rust, or TypeScript (at least one, preferably two).

• Demonstrated experience with multithreaded and concurrent programming.

• Background in performance profiling and optimization under actual production loads on dedicated hardware.

• Proficient in deploying and managing containerized workloads using Docker.

• Experience in building for resource-constrained environments utilizing edge computing or embedded systems.

• Solid understanding of networking and distributed systems fundamentals.

• Familiarity with real-time systems and low-latency design.

• Experience in video streaming or pipeline development (preferred but not required).

• Knowledge of storage systems and data management at the edge (preferred but not required).

• Familiarity with cloud services integration, including AWS S3, GCP, MQTT, or Kafka (preferred but not required).

• Experience with AI/ML model deployment on edge devices (preferred but not required).

• Understanding of security concepts such as encryption, secure communication, and zero trust (preferred but not required).
