📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete design, development, and reliability of high-performance backend services utilizing Golang and gRPC.

• Create and implement social features, asset discovery functionalities, and real-time notification systems for Coinbase Advanced trading products.

• Expand trading products for a global customer base.

• Drive rapid experimentation and optimization of conversion funnels for critical trading journeys.

• Make informed design trade-offs regarding performance, scalability, and maintainability to expedite time to market.

• Advocate for engineering best practices in design, coding, testing, documentation, monitoring, and alerting.

• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers across various time zones.

• Convert product vision into quarterly roadmaps and impactful outcomes.

• Manage complex projects from inception to production with minimal supervision.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in backend software engineering.

• Extensive experience with Golang and gRPC.

• Proven experience in designing scalable service architectures and making system design decisions regarding performance, reliability, and maintainability in high-throughput environments.

• Practical experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, Datadog, or comparable cloud infrastructure tools.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures such as Kafka or MQ.

• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases.

• Background in third-party API integrations.

• Knowledge of GraphQL and ETL pipelines.

• Capability to take ambiguous, multi-quarter projects from concept to production with minimal guidance and sound technical judgment.

• Ability to responsibly leverage generative AI while ensuring human oversight.
