Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Create, develop, and sustain high-quality, secure, interconnected applications and systems.

• Facilitate credentialing specialists at CHG and external clients in efficiently and accurately verifying medical provider credentials and experience.

• Write and preserve code for interconnected software systems with a focus on quality and security, utilizing AI-enabled SDD methodology.

• Deliver reliable and validated code complete with automated contract, unit, integration, and functional tests.

• Work collaboratively with business analysts, product managers, UI/UX designers, and fellow engineers to craft user-centric solutions adhering to software architecture best practices.

• Effectively communicate and provide mentorship in a people-first, remote working environment, including collaboration with offshore team members.

• Engage in code reviews to guarantee code quality and create mentoring opportunities.

• Report directly to a Senior Software Engineering Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in NodeJS and TypeScript.

• Familiarity with workflow orchestration platforms such as Temporal, Camunda, or Pega.

• Experience with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL.

• Background in working within a SaaS multi-tenant environment.

• Skill in developing API-driven systems using GraphQL and REST.

• Knowledge of modern JavaScript testing frameworks like Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine.

• Understanding of AI-enabled SDD methodologies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 10 years of experience as a software engineer.

• Preferred: Experience with NestJS, Jest, distributed event-store/stream-processing platforms (particularly Apache Kafka), and distributed tracing.
