Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Undertake lower-priority engineering tasks such as compliance, engineering upkeep, cost-reduction initiatives, observability, experiment clean-up, and operational tools.

• Design, develop, and sustain scalable, high-performing, and dependable software systems.

• Contribute to the system architecture and technical design processes.

• Validate solutions using data and experimentation when applicable.

• Engage in code and design review sessions.

• Work collaboratively with software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers.

• Clarify project requirements and carry out mid-level design tasks.

• Prioritize coding, testing, and documentation activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional experience in backend-focused software development.

• Proficient in Java and/or Kotlin.

• Experience with MongoDB Atlas or a similar modern NoSQL database.

• Familiarity with Aurora MySQL on AWS or comparable relational databases.

• Experience with cloud-native distributed systems on AWS.

• Proficient in Spring Boot.

• Experience in developing GraphQL APIs (Netflix DGS).

• Proven ability to build and manage large-scale, high-performance, and resilient systems.

• Strong English communication and teamwork skills.

• Experience in event-driven system development using Kafka and/or SQS (advantageous).

• Familiarity with AI-assisted coding (advantageous).

• Experience with Terraform (advantageous).

• Knowledge of microservices architecture (advantageous).

• Experience in developing gRPC and REST APIs (advantageous).
