This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Develop and sustain the self-service developer portal and tools aimed at developers for a federal agency's platform.
β’ Design and automate workflows across various platforms, including source control, CI/CD, issue tracking, observability, and collaboration tools.
β’ Create reusable automation frameworks utilizing APIs, bots, webhooks, event-driven services, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and internal tools.
β’ Integrate identity management, access controls, provisioning, and compliance measures across Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms.
β’ Oversee and ensure the reliability of workflows through failure detection, retry mechanisms, and audit logging.
β’ Convert research-supported interaction designs and onboarding processes into functional, instrumented software.
β’ Implement platform enhancements that decrease setup durations, speed up deployment cycles, and enhance release confidence.
β’ Work in close collaboration with UX and documentation experts.
β’ Undertake other related responsibilities as qualified and trained.
β’ A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
β’ Practical experience in designing and automating workflows across platforms, including source control, CI/CD pipelines, issue tracking, observability, and collaboration tools.
β’ Proficiency in creating reusable automation frameworks utilizing APIs, bots, webhooks, event-driven services, IaC, and internal tools.
β’ Experience with integrating identity management, access controls, provisioning, and compliance mechanisms across SaaS platforms.
β’ Skills in monitoring and ensuring workflow reliability, encompassing failure detection, retry strategies, and audit logging.
β’ Ability to independently implement measurable improvements in developer experience while avoiding tool sprawl and fragmentation.
β’ Must qualify for and maintain a Tier 4 High Risk Public Trust clearance.
β’ Must be legally authorized to work in the US.

β’ Experience in developing internal developer portals or platform-as-product tools is a plus.
β’ Familiarity with toolchains integrated with GitLab, Jira, Confluence, Datadog, and Figma is desirable.
β’ Experience in applying human-centered design principles directly in software delivery is a plus.
β’ Exposure to AI-assisted development tools like GSA USAi, AWS Bedrock, and Microsoft Copilot is advantageous.
