Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Develop and deploy features for the AI Assistant and Orchestration products, which include agents, tools, and approval workflows.

• Create evaluation scenarios for AI performance to identify quality issues prior to launch.

• Familiarize yourself with the AlertMedia platform, its tools, and customer applications.

• Work with Python, Django, Next.js, React, Node, and various other web technologies.

• Utilize AI-driven tools like Claude and Codex for development, troubleshooting, documentation, and enhancing productivity.

• Operate within an Agile framework using Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack.

• Contribute creative development solutions and technological innovations to AlertMedia’s product offerings.

• Collaborate effectively with engineering and product teams.

• Support and promote AlertMedia’s culture, values, and vision.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• Over 6 years of experience in developing scalable web applications; familiarity with the Python/Django/React/Node technology stack is preferred.

• Practical experience in delivering LLM-powered features, including agents, tool/function invocation, MCP or similar integrations, retrieval, prompt, and model assessment.

• Understanding of agentic design patterns and frameworks like Strands, AutoGen, and LangChain.

• Required experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud platforms.

• Required experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and other data storage solutions.

• Proven ability to write unit and integration tests.

• Proficiency in using AI coding tools such as Claude, Cursor, Codex, or similar throughout the development lifecycle.

• Capability to collaborate with principal engineers and leadership on architectural advancements.

• Experience in diagnosing and resolving production issues.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• A willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across different functions.

• Strong proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is required.

• Must possess current authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for employment visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
