📋 Description

• Design, develop, and scale a Fleet Operations Platform for thousands of computing machines and millions of customer workloads.

• Provide technical guidance and leadership to the team.

• Work on software operating on hosts within Akamai data centers.

• Continuously enhance internal processes and systems.

• Create comprehensive, largely automated functional and regression test suites focused on fault tolerance and error handling.

• Troubleshoot upgrade failures, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and address edge cases within the hypervisor and Linux host stack.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant, relevant experience.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

• Proficiency in Python or Go for backend automation tasks.

• Experience with REST APIs and command-line interface (CLI) scripting.

• SQL database experience for tracking state and metadata.

• Familiarity with designing, building, and scaling microservices architectures in production settings.

• Experience with Linux-based operating systems, virtualization, KVM, and live migrations.

• Ability to evaluate data using statistical methods.

• Skills in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

• Capability to discuss abstract software architectures from conceptualization to implementation.

• Creative application of domain knowledge to address technical challenges.

• Strong collaboration and joint problem-solving skills within an agile/Scrum environment.
