Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop the deployment stack responsible for constructing new test datacenters on the Lab Platform.

• Create monitoring solutions utilizing both new and existing observability tools to ensure the health of Lab Services.

• Identify bottlenecks within deployment and configuration frameworks, proposing solutions that enhance performance and reliability.

• Collaborate with senior engineers, architects, and subject matter experts to devise solutions that boost shipping speed and confidence.

• Engage in a highly collaborative global team that prioritizes feedback and open communication.

• Build and manage mission-critical lab infrastructure services and environments for the Akamai Connected Cloud platform.

• Contribute to scaling infrastructure and management tools while improving development and testing processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of relevant experience.

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Significant experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) automation and related tools, including Terraform, SaltStack, and Ansible.

• Proven experience using Python and RESTful API frameworks such as Flask and Django.

• Familiarity with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes and Nomad.

• Knowledge of development-environment tools such as Kind, Docker Compose, and Tilt.

• Comfortable working with relational databases including MySQL or Postgres.
