Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Review AI-generated code for accuracy, quality, maintainability, and design.

• Identify bugs, logical inconsistencies, poor abstractions, implementation vulnerabilities, and edge-case challenges.

• Assess code against established professional software engineering standards.

• Develop complex software engineering and coding challenges.

• Create high-quality reference solutions along with thorough test cases.

• Appropriately apply algorithms and data structures in relation to problem requirements.

• Evaluate AI reasoning regarding system design and software architecture.

• Analyze scalability, reliability, maintainability, and technical trade-offs.

• Review AI reasoning in debugging and troubleshooting contexts.

• Investigate software failures and propose strong corrective measures.

• Assess suggested fixes for regressions and long-term maintenance implications.

• Provide detailed technical feedback on AI-generated solutions and their reasoning.

• Identify recurring patterns of technical failures or inadequate reasoning.

• Uphold consistent review standards across various engineering situations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1 year of professional experience as a software engineer at a top-tier or highly respected technology firm.

• A portion of the relevant engineering experience should have been acquired within the last 7 years.

• Strong expertise in system design and software architecture.

• Exceptional code-review and debugging capabilities.

• In-depth knowledge of algorithms and data structures.

• Strong aptitude for reasoning about correctness, scalability, maintainability, and performance.

• Experience in developing or reviewing production-grade software systems.

• Capability to create rigorous coding challenges, reference solutions, and test cases.

• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to articulate technical decisions clearly.

• An undergraduate degree from a highly ranked university is preferred.

• Preference will be given to candidates located in English-speaking countries.
