Senior Software Engineer, Applied AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Take charge of developing new agents, skills, and platform features within TLDR.

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of agent deployment, from design and implementation to evaluations, launch, and internal user adoption.

• Create evaluations and specifications that establish measurable standards of quality.

• Collaborate with the Applied AI Product Manager on product priorities and autonomously make smaller product decisions.

• Engage with stakeholders in sales, revenue operations, editorial, and people operations to pinpoint applications of LLM technology.

• Enhance company workflows automatically as the capabilities of models advance.

• Facilitate teams in utilizing specifications and evaluations rather than relying on manual processes.

• Transition workflows towards push-based LLM execution, involving human input as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the field.

• At least 2 years of experience in building products and systems utilizing LLMs.

• Proven track record of taking at least one agent to production and maintaining ownership.

• Proficiency with AI coding tools like Claude Code or Codex.

• Experience in writing evaluations throughout the building phase.

• Capability to define, measure, and enhance quality.

• Proficient in shipping projects end to end without awaiting detailed specifications.

• Strong product judgment regarding what to build and what not to pursue.

• Comfort in navigating an emerging domain that lacks established practices.

• Ability to pinpoint where LLMs can be integrated into processes of non-engineering stakeholders.
