Senior Software Engineer, Antifraud

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create and sustain applications utilizing Golang or Java, adhering to clean coding standards and best practices in software engineering.

• Design and execute a scalable, dependable, and secure microservices architecture.

• Work collaboratively with engineering and product teams to refine and deliver technical solutions that meet business requirements.

• Utilize AWS services such as SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, S3, and EventBridge in daily development tasks.

• Employ Terraform to provision, manage, and enhance AWS infrastructure.

• Develop unit and integration tests to guarantee code quality and system resilience.

• Oversee application health and performance through observability tools, including metrics, logs, and alerts.

• Engage in code reviews and offer constructive feedback to colleagues.

• Participate in architectural and technical discussions to foster continuous improvement and innovation.

• Contribute to antifraud systems that monitor transactions, liaise with third parties for transaction verification, and support fee calculation modules.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must reside in Brazil.

• Proficient in English at a B2 level or higher (Upper-Intermediate).

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree, or at least 2 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Master's, MBA, JD, MD).

• Experience with Golang.

• Background in the Financial Industry or Payments/Authorization Systems.

• Over 3 years of experience using Golang.

• Proficient in Golang and adaptable to other languages such as Java/Groovy or JVM-related technologies.

• Advanced Git skills; capable of resolving team version control challenges.

• Conduct thorough code reviews that emphasize cross-domain quality.

• Capable of writing and validating unit, integration, performance, and end-to-end tests.

• Familiarity with Swagger, flow diagrams, and API documentation; supports DEVEX and external publishing.

• Proficient with Terraform, Argo, Jenkins, and Codefresh for infrastructure and deployment, including associated integrations.

• In-depth product knowledge; involved in feature planning and impact analysis.

• Strong skills in relational database design and non-relational strategy; effective data modeling capabilities.

• Proficient in AWS, employing optimal performance strategies.

• Designs scalable microservices and assesses architectural alternatives.

• Identifies and addresses distributed systems challenges to enhance reliability.

• Preferred understanding of observability practices (monitoring, tracing, alerting).

• Experience working with critical systems is an advantage.
