Senior Software Engineer, AI Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop AI-native products from inception to completion, taking responsibility for features that influence how millions of learners discover, enroll in, and advance through our programs.

• Work in close collaboration with product, platform, and other engineering teams.

• Guide peers in agentic development methodologies.

• Design, construct, and deploy full-stack features end-to-end using TypeScript, Vue.js, and Node, hosted on Azure.

• Create evaluations and monitoring systems for LLM features.

• Utilize agentic coding tools as your main development platform.

• Assume responsibility for AI-driven content authoring and management functionalities.

• Integrate model APIs while considering tokenization, latency, cost management, and other factors.

• Conduct code reviews and establish technical standards for AI-enhanced development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building customer-centric products within a high-quality software organization.

• Solid understanding of UI and TypeScript, with experience across the entire stack (Browser technologies, Node, PostgreSQL).

• Proven ability to drive complex, end-to-end features (beyond just incremental improvements and refactoring) that have a significant impact on the product.

• Strong product sensibility: you prioritize user experience, speed, and quality, and are willing to challenge when something feels off.

• Aptitude for working independently without substantial PM oversight; you can help define the problem, not just execute the solution.

• High ownership mindset: a self-motivated, full-cycle builder who takes a feature from conception to delivery.

• Excels in a remote, asynchronous environment with a nimble, high-performance team.

• Experience in a startup or a company that maintains a genuinely high engineering standard.
