This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop and construct the AI harness layer that integrates LLMs, agents, Databricks, governed data products, and enterprise applications.
• Create reusable runtimes for functionalities such as tool calling, context assembly, planning, state management, retries, approvals, observability, evaluation, and fallback mechanisms.
• Link agent workflows with Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog-style metadata, notebooks/jobs, SQL endpoints, cloud storage, and governed data products across GCP and Azure.
• Establish secure agentic data workflow patterns for querying, transforming, summarizing, enriching, and acting on enterprise data while upholding policy, provenance, lineage, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Design isolation boundaries for data, compute, identity, metadata, tools, prompts, memory, network paths, secrets, and execution context to support multi-tenant workloads.
• Deliver APIs, SDKs, libraries, reference implementations, templates, and operational runbooks.
• Assist team members and cross-functional stakeholders in AI system initiatives.
• Solid software engineering background with experience in developing distributed systems, platform services, APIs, and production-ready frameworks.
• Practical experience with Databricks and/or contemporary cloud data platforms, ideally across GCP and Azure.
• Extensive understanding of LLM integration patterns, agent orchestration, tool utilization, structured generation, retrieval, evaluation, and guardrails.
• Familiarity with Data Fabric concepts, including metadata, lineage, governance, semantic models, and enterprise data access patterns.
• Experience in designing secure multi-tenant systems with robust isolation across data, compute, identity, and runtime execution.
• Capability to define architectural direction, code effectively, validate patterns, and transform prototypes into resilient platform capabilities.
