Senior Software Development Engineer – Mobile

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of mobile applications utilizing React Native and associated technologies.

• Take ownership of the complete mobile feature development process, from architecture and performance optimization to deployment.

• Create and launch new features for both iOS and Android platforms.

• Ensure high standards of code quality, maintainability, performance, and thorough test coverage.

• Establish, manage, and enhance mobile CI/CD pipelines.

• Oversee automated build and release pipelines, as well as OTA updates and app submissions to the iOS App Store and Google Play.

• Implement monitoring systems and crash analytics.

• Optimize performance and respond swiftly to incidents to uphold app reliability.

• Collaborate effectively with Product, Design, and Backend teams.

• Mentor mid-level and junior developers in React Native, performance enhancement, deployment workflows, and AI-assisted development processes.

• Influence decisions related to mobile architecture concerning state management, navigation, and performance methodologies.

• Assess mobile libraries, AI-driven tools, and techniques.

• Enhance CI/CD, automated testing, and AI-assisted code generation workflows.

• Report directly to the Engineering Manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in mobile development.

• Proven history of delivering production-quality mobile applications.

• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript.

• Expertise in React Native.

• Experience in creating high-performance cross-platform applications for both iOS and Android.

• Familiarity with integrating mobile applications with RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

• Strong comprehension of the iOS and Android app store deployment procedures.

• Experience with AI tools and productivity optimization is a plus.

• Knowledge of AI-assisted code generation or automated UI testing is advantageous.

• Experience in mentoring or coaching developers is a plus.

• Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders is a plus.
