Senior Software Development Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and manage code services and functionalities for the Solventum-HIS AI Fabric.

• Create scalable platform capabilities for AI inferencing, lightweight agentic AI workflows, and lifecycle management.

• Develop frameworks and services that support LLMs, SLMs, MCP, AI agents, tool integration and orchestration, along with agentic workflows for medical documentation and coding.

• Build APIs, SDKs, reusable services, and developer tools to ensure safe AI integration.

• Engineer scalable, available, and distributed systems utilizing cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes containers, and microservices.

• Develop production-grade model registries, agentic state management, observability, lineage deployment, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD capabilities.

• Implement security, privacy, data protection, reliability, and operational readiness within regulated healthcare environments.

• Collaborate with teams in Engineering, Sciences, Product, Architecture, and Security.

• Engage in architecture, design, and code reviews, automated testing, and continuous improvement practices.

• Establish robust design and SDLC methodologies.

• Travel up to 10% as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher, completed and verified before starting the role.

• Five (5) to Ten (10) years of experience in computer science or software development, including the construction and operation of production software.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, and TypeScript.

• Experience in developing products on platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, observability, CI/CD, and production on-call operations.

• Experience in building REST APIs, GraphQL, and gRPC.

• Knowledge of event-driven design principles.

• Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs/SLMs, RAG, vector search, and model evaluation techniques.

• Experience with agentic AI frameworks and concepts, including LangGraph, LangChain, tool calling, multi-agent systems, and workflow orchestration.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the country of employment without visa sponsorship.

• Healthcare technology experience is an advantage.

• Strong focus on automated testing, code coverage, code quality, security, privacy, reliability, performance, and code sustainability.
