This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Develop and manage internal APIs that showcase MCG Data Science solutions within the technological framework.

• Establish and oversee network delivery solutions for MCG Data Science SDKs, focusing on deployment, security, authentication, observability, and related processes.

• Assess and track load capacity effectively.

• Implement advanced observability for ongoing enhancements.

• Assist internal teams in integrating solutions efficiently.

• Take ownership of the journey from experiment to production for new solutions.

• Collaborate with team members to understand integration agreements, execute according to specifications, and proactively identify obstacles.

• Create and update documentation and runbooks for the systems you manage.

• Engage in the on-call rotation for internal platform services.

• Address incidents, lead post-incident evaluations, and promote reliability enhancements.

• Deliver expert code reviews and provide technical guidance.

• Design solutions utilizing contemporary infrastructure, cloud technologies, Kubernetes, and LLMs.


⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, with significant experience in backend services or service integrations.

• Extensive experience with backend programming languages, particularly Python and Golang.

• Proficient in paired programming and crafting maintainable solutions.

• Excellent written communication skills and a strong ability to produce comprehensive technical documentation.

• Experience in developing integrations within distributed systems environments.

• Practical knowledge of asynchronous patterns, idempotency, and failure management.

• Expert-level comprehension of modern infrastructure, cloud technologies, Kubernetes, and LLMs.

• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations, respond to incidents, and conduct post-incident analyses.

• Competence in utilizing AI tools effectively within an AI-assisted, human-driven development context.
