Senior Software Development Engineer

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain Epic environments.

• Conduct discovery calls and offer level-of-effort assessments.

• Lead design sessions with business leaders and analysts.

• Create and execute EHR use cases.

• Determine business and functional requirements.

• Convert requirements and workflows into technical specifications in collaboration with IT resources.

• Oversee documentation efforts for discovery and implementation processes.

• Ensure that requirements and future-state workflows are well-defined.

• Collaborate with project managers to identify tasks and corresponding estimates.

• Assist with vendor upgrades, system modifications, and environment maintenance procedures.

• Work together with providers, project managers, technical teams, subject matter experts, business stakeholders, and vendor representatives.

• Record business and functional requirements, system specifications, and testing attributes and outcomes.

• Evaluate current-state processes and partner with clinical business and reporting users to develop future-state processes.

• Recognize and document process and data discrepancies.

• Develop and finalize use cases, business requirements, technical specifications, scope documents, gap analyses, and impact assessments.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least five (5) years of relevant experience.

• EpicCare Ambulatory certification.

• Extensive experience in configuring, designing, and supporting an Epic solution.

• Prior experience with application configuration.

• Experience in planning and executing tests.

• Proficient in developing test cases and meeting project quality standards.

• Experience working on large-scale projects.

• Strong understanding of clinical applications.

• Knowledge of the healthcare IT sector.

• Familiarity with configurable applications and monitoring practices.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to facilitate communication between technical and non-technical project staff and clients.
