Senior Software Developer – Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Develop high-load distributed middleware and backend applications within the telecommunications sector, including the handling of provisioning requests, order data contents, voice, billing, and tariff events.

• Design the architecture of microservices systems, APIs, and new business logic.

• Write, compile, and deploy code, optimize it, and conduct code reviews.

• Cover solutions with unit, integration, and load testing.

• Prepare technical documentation.

• Provide consultancy on new and existing systems for project documentation approval.

• Maintain stable service operation.

• Design, develop, and support technological solutions and high-performance systems and services for the telecommunications company Kyivstar.Tech.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years in development, with at least 2 years of involvement in commercial projects.

• At least 2 years of managerial experience (in processes, projects, or teams).

• Proficiency in Java 8/17 (Concurrency, Parallel, Distributed).

• Experience in developing web applications (data exchange formats — JSON/XML), building REST architecture.

• Familiarity with NoSQL (Cassandra DB) and SQL databases.

• Understanding of relational database construction principles, and strong knowledge of SQL (Oracle).

• Database design, writing procedures, functions, jobs/schedulers.

• Optimization of database queries (indexing, partitioning).

• Building ETL processes.

• Knowledge of CI/CD processes, experience with Maven, Gradle, JUnit, and CI/CD tools.

• Spring Framework (MVC, Boot, Security), Akka (HTTP, Streams), distributed cache framework, Hibernate.

• Experience with data exchange brokers (Kafka, JMS brokers).

• Understanding of distributed system principles and practical experience with them.

• Agile development methodologies, knowledge and application of SDLC, Scrum, Kanban, XP, WF.

• Familiarity with Microservices, SOA, monolith, design patterns, Event Sourcing, CQRS, DDD.

• Experience with Docker stack.

• Knowledge of Grafana, ELK Stack, Artifactory.

• Proficient in English for negotiation and correspondence.
