Senior Software Developer, Full Stack, Embedded IoT

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Create and implement solutions for integrating both wired and wireless devices into automation systems.

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues associated with embedded systems.

• Engage in the architecture, design, and implementation of control devices based on Embedded Linux.

• Develop and refine solutions utilizing modern C++ and Python, including applications tailored for embedded systems.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary development and product teams, aiding in the definition of requirements and delivery of solutions.

• Work with Open Source and InnerSource components, adopting a collaborative methodology and contributing upstream.

• Participate in an agile development setting utilizing Scrum/Kanban methodologies.

• Contribute to technical documentation regarding code, APIs, and system architecture.

• Collaborate with global teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in software engineering focused on embedded systems.

• Proficient with Embedded Linux, including Yocto, the Linux Kernel, and device drivers.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in object-oriented development, ideally using C++17 or later.

• Experience with scripting languages, particularly Python/MicroPython for embedded applications.

• Understanding and experience with CI/CD processes for embedded devices, using tools such as CMake, GitLab Runner, LAVA, or similar.

• Familiarity with communication protocols commonly used in IoT, such as MQTT, CoAP, and HTTP.

• Proficient with Git, GitLab CI/CD, and/or Jenkins.

• Knowledge of Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS).

• Experience in developing applications for microprocessors in embedded systems.

• Proficient in Docker.

• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).

• Familiarity with agile methodologies, especially Scrum and/or Kanban.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Hands-on approach with the ability to transform real-world challenges into effective solutions.

• Advanced/fluent English is a mandatory requirement, encompassing both verbal and written communication.
