Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design, create, test, and sustain new functionalities within the T1-S Vantage platform.

• Develop scalable, high-performance applications utilizing C# and .NET.

• Create and manage RESTful APIs, backend services, and distributed application components.

• Design and enhance web-based user interfaces leveraging modern web technologies.

• Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to established engineering standards.

• Engage in architectural planning and participate in technical design discussions.

• Enhance the performance, reliability, and scalability of mission-critical applications.

• Architect solutions for large volumes of operational, telemetry, and time-series data.

• Integrate software with industrial devices, external services, data historians, and third-party systems.

• Provide support for cloud and on-premises deployments across various customer environments.

• Contribute to software security, observability, monitoring, and operational readiness.

• Lead development efforts for significant features and initiatives.

• Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews and technical guidance.

• Promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and software quality.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical requirements and implementation strategies.

• Assist in estimating work, planning releases, and managing technical risks.

• Participate in Agile activities, including sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Over 7 years of professional software development experience.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining enterprise software applications.

• Experience with complex, distributed, or mission-critical systems.

• Proven ability to lead technical projects and provide mentorship to other developers.

• Strong expertise in C# and .NET.

• In-depth understanding of object-oriented design principles and software architecture patterns.

• Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.

• Proficient in Microsoft SQL Server and relational database design.

• Strong knowledge of SQL, performance optimization, and data modeling.

• Experience in building modern web applications utilizing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.

• Experience working in Agile software development environments.

• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating across teams.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer.

• Experience with both modern ASP.NET Core (.NET 8+) and legacy ASP.NET MVC/WebForms web applications.

• Familiarity with .NET testing frameworks and principles, particularly xUnit.

• Experience with TypeScript, Angular, React, or similar contemporary front-end frameworks.

• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and time-series databases.

• Experience in building cloud-native applications within Microsoft Azure.

• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with message-based and event-driven architectures.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Understanding of networking fundamentals and distributed systems.

• Familiarity with industrial automation, SCADA, telemetry, or operational technology environments.

• Acquainted with power generation, utility operations, energy markets, or regulatory compliance systems.

• Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, DNP3, OPC-UA, or ICCP.
