Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain responsive web applications, backend services, APIs, integrations, and data-access components.

• Engage actively throughout the software development lifecycle, covering discovery, estimation, planning, implementation, testing, code review, release, production support, and ongoing improvement.

• Collaborate with engineering, architecture, QA, product, UX, security, and compliance teams to transform business and user requirements into effective technical solutions.

• Direct architecture and design choices that enhance scalability, reliability, performance, security, privacy, maintainability, and usability.

• Write and review clear, well-tested code, establish reusable engineering patterns, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and diagnose complex production challenges.

• Leverage AI-assisted and agentic development tools to enhance engineering quality, productivity, and delivery speed while ensuring appropriate validation, security, privacy, and human oversight.

• Proactively discover, assess, and responsibly implement new tools, technologies, and engineering practices, including AI and automation, to enhance products, architecture, and software delivery.

• Mentor developers and facilitate onboarding, knowledge sharing, and continuous growth within the engineering team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of professional software development experience in an Agile, team-oriented environment, including ownership of complex production systems from technical design to release and operational support.

• At least 3 years of experience in developing responsive web applications.

• A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or software engineering.

• Proven professional experience with AI-assisted and agentic development tools, including specific examples of enhanced software quality and delivery speed.

• Capability to validate AI-generated outputs, implement appropriate safeguards and human oversight, and utilize AI tools responsibly in secure settings.

• Strong full-stack expertise with C#, ASP.NET Core, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS/SASS, or similar modern technologies.

• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, SOLID principles, and maintainable software architecture.

• Experience in designing and maintaining robust APIs and distributed services utilizing service-oriented and event-driven architectural principles.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or other relational databases, along with Entity Framework Core or a comparable ORM framework.

• Background in shaping architecture and design decisions and engaging in automated testing, code review, release management, and production support.
