Senior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Act as a senior software developer within a cross-functional Agile Scrum team.

• Maintain applications by implementing new and enhanced functionalities, conducting defect analysis, and applying fixes.

• Conduct research, design, develop, and modify application software systems to support release deployments.

• Generate detailed specifications and write software code.

• Collaborate with business analysts, designers, subject matter experts, product teams, shared services teams, cybersecurity, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Develop and execute test cases and produce technical documentation.

• Ensure compliance with program configuration change-control standards.

• Comprehend the structure and functionality of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications such as Oracle.

• Create interfaces and conversion routines utilizing APIs.

• Investigate and assess third-party vendor software tools for potential implementation.

• Monitor metrics, report defects, prevent issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and enhance development efficiency and quality.

• Draft tasks and tests for user stories.

• Estimate assigned tasks and communicate status and obstacles during daily Scrum meetings.

• Deliver iterative application releases punctually.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.

• Active Secret DoD security clearance is required.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Assurance, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field; experience may be considered in lieu of education.

• A minimum of 7 years of relevant technical experience.

• Current DoD 8570/8140 certification, such as Sec+ CE or CASP CE.

• Proficient developer experience with C#.

• Proficient developer experience with Visual Basic.

• Proficient developer experience with ASP.NET / MVC.

• Proficient developer experience with database development / SQL.

• Proficient developer experience with JavaScript.

• Proficient developer experience with Entity Framework 6.x.

• Proficient developer experience with HTML/CSS/Bootstrap.

• Proficient developer experience with TFS/GIT.

• Proficient developer experience with Palantir Foundry / Army Vantage.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
