This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +5 more states.
• Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement web-based interfaces, microservices, REST APIs, and workflow modules utilizing Java Spring Boot and Maven.
• Construct, sustain, and optimize cloud-based data workflows and database services employing AWS Glue, DynamoDB, and DMS.
• Package and deploy containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm charts, and Terraform for Infrastructure as Code automation.
• Maintain, test, and update software through GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Git version control workflows.
• Monitor, query, and troubleshoot production applications with the help of Elasticsearch, Grafana, and related observability tools.
• Diagnose complex production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and resolve problems identified during testing and implementation.
• Collaborate with project teams and end users to ascertain application requirements, conduct feasibility analyses, and assess integration tools.
• Research, test, build, and coordinate the integration of legacy and modern software components across intricate customer environments.
• Address software bugs, respond to system enhancement feedback, and contribute to software documentation and user manuals.
• Execute other duties as assigned.
• A minimum of 8 years of professional software development experience within an Agile development framework.
• Practical experience in building RESTful APIs and web-based applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Maven.
• Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms and modern version control systems like GitLab.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• DoD Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance required upon application.
• Direct experience with AWS Glue, DynamoDB, and AWS DMS.
• Proficiency in writing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Exposure to Elasticsearch, Grafana, and Kafka.
• Strong knowledge of OpenAPI/Swagger specifications and API testing tools such as SoapUI and Postman.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and SQL.
• Ability to remain stationary for extended periods and continuously operate a computer and office productivity machinery.
