Senior Software Developer, Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.

📋 Description

• Assist in the operation and maintenance of the PRiMES application for the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration at the Department of State.

• Implement enhancements to the PRiMES system.

• Keep the Project Manager, COR, and GTM informed of key IT operations and application development matters.

• Help guide the transformation of existing applications and design new applications with a modern interface and architecture.

• Collaborate with systems experts, developers, and programmers on the migration from the current platform to a cloud-based environment.

• Attend customer meetings as necessary and act as the primary point of contact for technical solutions.

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise solutions utilizing Dynamics 365 CRM and Microsoft Power Platform.

• Configure custom entities, forms, views, business rules, workflows, and CRM security models.

• Create CRM plugins, JavaScript web resources, and custom business logic using C#, JavaScript, and the Dynamics CRM SDK.

• Develop and sustain Power Apps and Power Automate workflows for automating business processes.

• Create and improve custom applications using .NET, ASP.NET, Web API, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and related technologies.

• Integrate Dynamics 365 CRM and Power Platform solutions with external systems via REST APIs, OData, JSON, XML, and web services.

• Provide support for SQL Server database development, including stored procedures, views, triggers, data queries, and reporting.

• Facilitate automated notifications, workflow processes, and system-triggered business logic.

• Diagnose application issues, support production systems, and implement enhancements based on the needs of users and stakeholders.

• Engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, and status updates.

• Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, document technical solutions, and deliver high-quality software.

⛳️ Requirements

• An active Secret Clearance is required at the time of award.

• Over 10 years of experience in the IT services or development sectors.

• Proven experience in supporting IT application migration and development projects.

• A Bachelor's degree or higher in statistics, computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline.

• 2 to 5 years of experience in a cloud environment.

• Practical experience in developing and supporting Dynamics 365 CRM solutions.

• Familiarity with Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate.

• Strong development background in C#, JavaScript, .NET, ASP.NET, Web API, or similar Microsoft technologies.

• Experience in developing CRM plugins, JavaScript web resources, custom entities, forms, views, workflows, and security roles.

• Capability to integrate enterprise applications using REST APIs, OData, JSON, XML, and related integration methodologies.

• Solid experience with SQL Server, including database development, stored procedures, views, triggers, and reporting queries.

• Ability to lead projects utilizing the Scrum/Agile framework and methodology.

• Experience in leading teams and the ability to motivate and engage team members.

• Ideally, experience working in the Federal Government sector.
