Senior Site Reliability Operations Engineer – Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee incident response as the Incident Commander, coordinating teams, communications, and restoration of services.

• Generate executive-level incident reports and perform root-cause analyses.

• Foster continuous improvement initiatives.

• Monitor and enhance observability using AWS CloudWatch and New Relic.

• Minimize alert noise and address observability gaps.

• Provide direct system support across both Linux and Windows environments.

• Troubleshoot and resolve intricate infrastructure issues.

• Manage and execute deployments through Jenkins, GitLab, or comparable CI/CD platforms.

• Lead infrastructure projects, including migrations, upgrades, and process enhancements.

• Implement change management and risk assessment protocols for production changes.

• Ensure the maintenance of documentation and standard operating procedures.

• Act as a liaison between engineering teams and external vendors.

• Participate in a one-week on-call rotation, with the possibility of critical incident call-ins between 6:00 PM and 6:00 AM PT.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Windows and Linux environments.

• Extensive knowledge of AWS CloudWatch, New Relic, Nagios, and SumoLogic.

• Hands-on experience with Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD tools.

• Practical experience with CommVault and AWS Backup.

• Strong scripting capabilities in PowerShell, Python, or similar languages.

• Excellent communication skills, particularly under pressure, including proficiency in executive reporting.

• Experience in fast-paced environments and familiarity with on-call support models.

• Independent and proactive mindset, with the ability to manage complex tasks autonomously.

• Candidate must currently reside in Latin America.
