Senior Site Reliability Engineer, NetBox Delivery

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the NetBox build and release pipeline, overseeing everything from base images to downstream accessibility on Cloud and Enterprise platforms.

• Facilitate the release handoff between NetBox Core and the Cloud and Enterprise teams.

• Enhance the speed and reliability of NetBox in production environments, focusing on application startup and Postgres performance improvements.

• Develop observability for both the application and release pipeline, which includes monitoring, alerting, and establishing SLOs.

• Serve as the escalation point for any performance and reliability challenges.

• Address and resolve issues within the NetBox Core when the root cause is identified in the code.

• Fortify supply chain security and assist in achieving SOC 2 compliance for the build pipeline.

• Participate in shared on-call responsibilities.

• Lead incident response initiatives and conduct postmortems related to the area of responsibility.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or SRE roles.

• Demonstrated ability in writing robust and maintainable code.

• Experience in production environments utilizing Django and Postgres at scale.

• Familiarity with schema design, migration risk assessment, and query performance under realistic loads.

• Proficient in container build techniques.

• Knowledge of base image design.

• Competency in managing Python dependencies.

• Understanding of supply chain security practices, including vulnerability scanning and image signing protocols.

• Practical experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS), Kubernetes and Helm, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD or FluxCD, Terraform, as well as Prometheus and Grafana.

• Hands-on experience with AI-augmented development tools, including Claude Code and reliable agentic tooling workflows.

• Proven track record of facilitating work across team boundaries, from drafting RFCs to executing cross-team migrations.
