Senior Site Reliability Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Utilize analytical abilities and statistical knowledge to pinpoint performance bottlenecks and reliability issues, while proposing effective solutions.

• Create tools that enable quicker and more independent problem diagnosis.

• Define, implement, and extract data from Akamai's internal sources to generate valuable insights.

• Impact company decision-making processes and identify opportunities for new technology investments.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Product teams to facilitate the adoption of new features and processes.

• Develop software tools and systems to automate analytical tasks and workflows, enhancing efficiency and reliability.

• Analyze and evaluate platform performance and reliability using extensive datasets.

• Create forecasting and early warning systems to address content delivery challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Relevant academic or industry experience.

• PhD or master’s degree in computer science or a related quantitative discipline.

• Strong analytical background with experience in statistical data analysis.

• Proficient in coding in one or more of the following: Python, C, or C++.

• Familiarity with Internet protocols such as DNS, HTTP, TLS, and TCP.

• Knowledge of machine learning algorithms.

• Outstanding communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to convey technical information in a clear and accessible manner.
