Senior Site Contract Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize agreements with research sites.

• Negotiate grant budgets and contractual terms for investigators within approved limits.

• Ensure adherence to negotiation guidelines, approvals, contractual procedures, budget directives, templates, and client expectations.

• Identify, evaluate, and escalate legal, financial, and operational risks.

• Offer recommendations and alternative solutions for negotiations related to Investigator Contracts.

• Collaborate with internal departments on site initiation and contractual tasks.

• Align contract negotiations with critical paths for site activation to meet target cycle times.

• Monitor and report on activities as needed.

• Train and mentor junior team members.

• Participate in country-level process improvement initiatives and team meetings.

• Serve as the country subject matter expert for training materials related to Investigator Contracts.

• Coordinate with Global Site Contracts to ensure compliance with global standards and corporate directives.

• Conduct periodic quality reviews and provide peer feedback reports.

• Lead client projects involving amendments/novations and oversee negotiations for confidentiality agreements as necessary.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent and relevant academic/vocational qualification.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience.

• A combination of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience may be deemed sufficient.

• Comprehensive understanding of contract law, including business, intellectual property, and local tax and stamp legislation.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English and the local language.

• Capability to negotiate investigator grant budgets within established parameters.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical product development and the role of CROs.

• Ability to work autonomously or within a team setting.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Familiarity with PPD SOPs and WPDs.

• Capability to prioritize competing tasks and assess contractual risks and issues.

• Proficient in using automated systems and computer applications.

• Customer-oriented communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to train and mentor team members.

• Capability to provide feedback to Investigator Analysts.

• Strong problem-solving and risk assessment abilities.

• Ability to negotiate Investigator Contracts in the best interests of both the company and the client.

• Capacity to work upright and/or stationary for 6–8 hours daily.

• Frequent hand movements and mobility required.

• Occasional crouching, stooping, bending, and twisting may be necessary.

• Ability to lift and carry weights of 15–20 lbs.

• Regular and consistent attendance is expected.

• Ability to perform under stress and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
