This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Perform signal integrity analysis and simulations for high-speed interfaces, including 112Gbps Ethernet, PCIe Gen5, and DDR5.
• Create and enforce signal integrity guidelines for PCB design, ensuring optimal performance and minimal signal loss.
• Identify and resolve signal integrity challenges associated with high-speed interfaces, encompassing reflection, crosstalk, and power delivery network (PDN) issues.
• Collaborate with PCB layout engineers to enhance designs for signal integrity, ensuring adherence to electrical standards and high-speed design best practices.
• Execute time-domain and frequency-domain analyses, including loss, jitter, and eye-diagram evaluations.
• Leverage EDA tools such as Ansys SIWAVE, HFSS, or equivalent for the simulation and validation of signal integrity designs.
• Partner closely with cross-functional teams to incorporate signal integrity considerations into the comprehensive hardware design process.
• Develop behavioral models based on measured signal integrity data to guide future design and simulation efforts.
• Perform pre- and post-layout simulations and measurements for high-speed signal interfaces.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering with over 10 years of relevant experience.
• Solid understanding of electromagnetic (EM) concepts and transmission line theory.
• Extensive experience in signal integrity analysis for high-speed serial interfaces, including Ethernet, PCIe, and DDR5.
• Proficient in utilizing EDA tools such as Ansys SIWAVE, HFSS, or similar.
• Practical expertise in time-domain and frequency-domain analysis, including jitter, loss, and eye-diagram assessments.
• Strong background in HSPICE simulations and model development.
• Familiarity with PCB layout techniques for high-speed designs.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Experience with advanced simulation tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as 112Gbps PAM4 Ethernet, PCIe Gen5, and DDR5.
