Senior Shopify Plus Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee the continuous technical advancement, performance enhancement, and scaling of the high-traffic Shopify Plus store.

• Create, customize, and optimize high-converting Shopify themes utilizing Liquid, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and contemporary JavaScript (ES6+).

• Develop and sustain custom API integrations that link Shopify Plus with ERP, POS, CRM, inventory, and fulfillment systems through GraphQL, REST APIs, and webhooks.

• Troubleshoot technical challenges and enhance page speed metrics, Core Web Vitals, technical SEO, and overall storefront stability.

• Assist in large-scale product launches, multivariate catalog configurations, custom metafields/metaobjects, and bulk catalog operations with Matrixify.

• Innovate and upgrade storefront workflows utilizing Shopify Checkout Extensibility, Shopify Functions, Shopify Flow, and custom app features.

• Supervise technical workflows, including code reviews, deployment environments, automated testing, and version control using Git.

• Report directly to the Head of Digital & eCommerce based in Australia as part of the Digital & eCommerce team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional web development experience with a strong emphasis on Shopify Plus and Liquid theme creation.

• Advanced expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern front-end development workflows.

• Practical experience in developing custom integrations using Shopify GraphQL APIs, REST APIs, and webhooks.

• Extensive experience managing intricate product structures, variants, metafields, metaobjects, and bulk catalog imports.

• Strong command of Git version control processes and deployment workflows.

• Demonstrated root-cause analysis and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to independently investigate complex technical challenges.

• Applications must be submitted in English.

• This position is exclusively available to PH citizens.

• Bonus: Practical experience with Shopify Checkout Extensibility, Shopify Functions, or custom app development using Node.js, React, or TypeScript.

• Bonus: Experience with search/merchandising platforms like Algolia, marketing automation tools such as Klaviyo, GA4, and GTM, or booking systems.

• Bonus: Background in ERP, POS, inventory system integrations, or bulk catalog tools like Matrixify.
