Senior Settlement & Treasury Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Nigeria.

📋 Description

• Identify and establish payment partnerships to facilitate business growth.

• Develop and implement processes, standards, and guidelines for partnering organizations.

• Collaborate with product leadership to create a payment strategy that aligns with global scalability and local market requirements.

• Identify and capitalize on emerging trends, technologies, and partnership models to enhance transactional efficiency and user trust.

• Conduct daily reconciliation of Misan by Bamboo transactions promptly.

• Investigate and recover unsettled transactions with partners.

• Provide precise data analysis to support strategic decisions within the organization.

• Coordinate with Customer Experience and Engineering teams to address customer requests and disputes within Service Level Agreements (SLA).

• Monitor disputed transactions for potential fraudulent activity and report findings to Compliance.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to refine internal processes and develop new customer products.

• Prepare daily reconciliation summaries and accurately structure journal entries with detailed information.

• Maintain relationships with banking and payment partners, ensuring adherence to partner obligations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience, ideally in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cross-border payment processing and settlement reconciliations.

• Demonstrated experience in cross-border or remittance operations, specifically in Settlement, Reconciliation & Chargeback, preferably within the fintech, banking, or payment industry.

• At least 3 years of experience in digital financial services or banking.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

• In-depth understanding of global payment and settlement transaction chains.

• Excellent analytical, research, verbal, and written communication skills.

• Ability to adapt to global operational demands and thrive in a rapidly evolving business and regulatory environment.
