This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee both pre- and post-contract administration, which includes managing contract terms and conditions, claims, risk modeling, and estimating for tenders and program reviews.
• Take charge of the In Service Support Contract productivity strategy and its implementation for the LM2500 fleet sustainment.
• Offer technical leadership and governance for activities related to the LM2500 fleet sustainment.
• Manage contract cost oversight, forecasting, and planning processes.
• Act as the primary programmatic point of contact with Defense stakeholders.
• Direct contract performance reporting, develop dashboards, ensure status visibility, and facilitate risk mitigation communications.
• Maintain awareness of the Defense budget and assist in long-term fleet coordination efforts.
• Lead planning for maintenance, repair, and overhaul of the LM2500, serving as the engineering liaison between depot management and Naval Defense contracting.
• Oversee vendor contracts and manage subcontractor component repair activities.
• Spearhead engine life management, tracking, and sustainment analytics.
• Coordinate technical execution and sustainment decisions among the Royal Canadian Navy, GE Aerospace, and licensed MRO resources.
• Develop and oversee customer training programs.
• Direct forecasting, control, procurement, and reporting of spares and materials.
• Lead program updates for internal leadership, ensuring structured governance across priorities, risks, and actions.
• Analyze contract trends, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure integrity, controllership, compliance, and operational excellence throughout contract management activities.
• Must be a resident of Canada.
• Required to provide academic qualifications, years of experience, and detailed descriptions of completed Defense projects, including references demonstrating fulfillment of requirements.
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the last ten (10) years as a program manager for LM2500 Gas Turbine Assembly maintenance support with a value of at least $5M CAD; different contracts of at least $3M CAD each may be considered as proof, and a valid PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification must be maintained throughout the tenure; OR
• Ten (10) years’ experience in the last fifteen (15) years as a project/program manager for a defense contract in engineering or maintenance support at the gas turbine propulsion system level, also with a minimum value of $5M CAD; different contracts of at least $3M CAD per year may be used as evidence.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• Strong technical expertise in LM2500, specifically in marine propulsion or power generation field service, naval marine engineering service, or merchant navy experience.
• A Canadian Defense Security Clearance (NV1) or the capability to obtain such clearance is essential.
• For non-U.S. Persons, the ability to secure U.S. Government authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information is required.
