Category Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the procurement of indirect goods and services to enhance profitability and gain a competitive edge.

• Evaluate, source, negotiate, review contracts, and monitor supplier performance.

• Plan, structure, direct, and implement indirect sourcing initiatives.

• Collaborate strategically with stakeholders to clarify and fulfill business requirements.

• Cultivate supplier relationships and manage the performance of key suppliers.

• Work in coordination with internal customers to gather bids and quotes, while also participating in budgeting activities.

• Identify opportunities for supplier rationalization and leverage across various functional areas.

• Advocate for procurement processes and maintain relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, affiliates, and professional organizations.

• Negotiate contracts and lead negotiation strategies with business partners.

• Enhance RFx, bid analysis, purchasing, sourcing, and contracting processes.

• Monitor market and industry trends, indices, and benchmarking tools.

• Mentor and develop team members.

• Maintain and communicate category strategies.

• Carry out other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in acquiring indirect goods and services, including capital and operational expenditures.

• Familiarity with both tactical and strategic sourcing initiatives.

• Capability to analyze, source, negotiate, review contracts, and manage supplier performance.

• Ability to coordinate with stakeholders and achieve business objectives.

• Comprehensive knowledge of procurement processes, RFx, bid analysis, purchasing strategies, strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and contract management.

• Proficiency in tracking market and industry trends, relevant indices, and benchmarking tools.

• Skill in mentoring and developing team members.

• Background or experience in Information Technology category management.
