Senior ServiceNow Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• Develop, configure, and tailor solutions on the ServiceNow platform in line with both technical and functional specifications.

• Write JavaScript scripts, including Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Policies, and UI Actions.

• Design, implement, and refine workflows, Flow Designer flows, and automation processes.

• Configure and enhance ITSM modules, specifically Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Request Management, and Service Catalog.

• Engage in the implementation and support of additional modules, such as ITOM (IT Operations Management).

• Create and uphold integrations between ServiceNow and external systems using REST, SOAP, APIs, and IntegrationHub.

• Configure forms, tables, business rules, notifications, service catalogs, SLAs, and dashboards.

• Conduct analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of incidents and issues related to the platform.

• Collaborate with functional, technical, and business teams to ascertain requirements and craft solutions.

• Ensure the quality, security, performance, and scalability of the developed solutions.

• Participate in maintenance, upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives for the platform.

• Generate and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and configuration standards.

• Apply best practices in development, version control, and application lifecycle management.

• Contribute to the adoption of ITIL best practices and the ongoing enhancement of IT service management processes.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• 3 to 5 years of practical experience in ServiceNow development and configuration.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript scripting on the ServiceNow platform.

• Understanding of workflows, Flow Designer, Service Catalog, and process automation.

• Demonstrated experience with ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Knowledge Management.

• Knowledge of or experience with additional modules, namely ITOM, Discovery, Service Mapping, or Event Management.

• Experience in developing integrations through REST APIs, SOAP, IntegrationHub, or MID Server.

• Familiarity with databases, data structures, and web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

• Familiar with Agile methodologies and ITIL-based service management practices.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve technical challenges.

• Native-level proficiency in Portuguese.

• Good command of English, both spoken and written.

• ServiceNow certifications, such as Certified System Administrator or Certified Application Developer, are advantageous.
