Senior ServiceNow Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design, configure, customize, and deploy ServiceNow applications to fulfill client business needs.

• Identify and document business outcomes and functional requirements alongside Solutions Architects and Business Analysts.

• Transform requirements into effective designs for ServiceNow solutions.

• Execute solutions with cross-functional teams in alignment with requirements and industry best practices.

• Create and maintain intricate scripts, business rules, and UI policies.

• Facilitate data migration from legacy systems to ServiceNow while validating data structures.

• Assist in integrating ServiceNow with other systems and applications.

• Record configurations, customizations, data schemas, and technical decisions.

• Test configurations for functionality, data integrity, and user experience.

• Resolve issues and implement necessary adjustments.

• Provide support for end-user training and change management initiatives.

• Troubleshoot and rectify implementation incidents and challenges.

• Comply with security and regulatory requirements.

• Keep up to date with ServiceNow features, enhancements, and best practices.

• Pursue certification and training to align with practice standards and areas for growth.

• Collaborate with project managers, implementation specialists, and stakeholders on project coordination, communication, risks, issues, successes, and overall status.

• Operate independently as well as with team members; mentor junior developers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of software development experience.

• At least 3 years of experience implementing ServiceNow solutions.

• Over 1 year of experience with Portal customization.

• More than 1 year of experience in advanced JavaScript.

• At least 2 years of experience in agile software development.

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification is required.

• US Citizenship is mandatory.

• Must be able to secure a DHS Public Trust clearance.

• Must live in the United States and conduct work within the country.

• Preferred: ServiceNow Certified Application Developer certification.

• Preferred: Capability to configure, customize, and implement ServiceNow applications using App Engine independently.

• Preferred: Experience in developing advanced scripts, business rules, and client scripts.

• Preferred: Background in supporting data migration from legacy systems to ServiceNow.

• Preferred: Proficiency in testing ServiceNow configurations.

• Preferred: Experience in troubleshooting ServiceNow implementations.

• Preferred: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Preferred: Strong experience with agile methodology and agile scrum teams.

• Preferred: Ability to function effectively in a collaborative team environment.

• Preferred: Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

• Preferred: Strong attention to detail.

• Preferred: Over 3 years of experience in advanced JavaScript.

• Preferred: Significant experience in stakeholder presentations and interfacing.

• Preferred: Active DHS or DoD Secret clearance.
