Senior ServiceNow Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, construct, and implement a bi-directional integration between ServiceNow and Jira.

• Build, manage, and enhance custom ServiceNow applications utilizing the Now Platform.

• Develop both front-end and back-end components linked to a hybrid technology stack.

• Integrate ServiceNow functionalities with legacy systems.

• Swiftly deliver lightweight back-end services alongside public-facing web stacks.

• Identify and resolve production application issues effectively.

• Foster innovation in technologies, processes, and tools.

• Collaborate with Product Owners and Scrum Teams on requirements breakdown, backlog refinement, and the decomposition of user stories and tasks.

• Assist the Product Owner and engage with stakeholders.

• Conduct unit and integration testing.

• Communicate with internal and government management personnel.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business, or a related scientific/technical field; 10 years of additional relevant experience may substitute for formal education.

• Over 15 years of professional experience.

• More than 5 years of development experience.

• At least 2 years of experience with ServiceNow and the Now Platform, including ITSM, App Engine, and/or Integration Hub.

• Capability to design, articulate, and document system strategies for platforms, applications, and networks.

• Experience in writing unit and end-to-end automated tests.

• Proficient in Jira and GitHub.

• ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification with practical experience in building custom applications on the Now Platform.

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.

• Familiarity with REST/SOAP integrations, webhook frameworks, authentication models, and cross-platform data mapping.

• Understanding of Jira project structure, issue data models, workflows, and service account configurations.

• Ability to design scalable integration architectures that comply with enterprise security, governance, and SDLC standards.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

• Preferred: Experience in ServiceNow development and the Now Platform, including ITSM, App Engine, Integration Hub, Mobile Studio, and Automated Test Framework.

• Preferred: Experience in Java development.
