This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership and provide strategic guidance for SEO and GEO initiatives with the assistance of the SEO/GEO Manager.
• Enhance organic search performance to achieve partner enrollment goals.
• Perform technical audits, keyword and prompt research, develop metadata, optimize on-page elements, and manage internal/external linking.
• Execute and assess structured data and ensure HTML-to-JSON-LD consistency.
• Establish and sustain entity coverage, knowledge graph grounding, entity signals, and topical authority mapping.
• Monitor and report on AI search visibility metrics, including share of voice, citation rates, brand mentions, sentiment analysis, and competitor displacement.
• Organize content for retrieval through answer-first formatting, semantic chunking, extractable summaries, quotable statistics, and original data.
• Oversee account and partner communications regarding performance, strategy, execution, and organic search expertise.
• Inform stakeholders about AI search developments.
• Collaborate with content teams and subject matter experts on deliverables driven by SEO and GEO.
• Contribute to departmental processes, automation efforts, and repeatable deliverables.
• Utilize AI tools to scale research, analysis, and QA while ensuring human verification of all outputs.
• Partner with content strategists and creative teams to advance integrated SEO and GEO strategies.
• Convert changes in the AI search industry into actionable process updates.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant certifications.
• Over 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proven track record in AI search visibility or generative engine optimization.
• Understanding of general marketing strategy and the intersection of organic search with paid media, lifecycle, lead generation, and down-funnel conversion metrics.
• Familiarity with organic channel strategy and best practices for traditional search and AI answer engines.
• Knowledge of technical SEO, content strategy, digital PR, link acquisition, on-page optimization, and AI visibility.
• Proficient in structured data, schema markup, entity SEO, and knowledge graph concepts.
• Ability to identify and resolve crawl, render, and indexing issues, including JavaScript rendering compatibility for AI crawlers.
• Proficient in GA4, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and AI visibility measurement tools.
• Experience in applied prompt engineering and AI workflows.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting to diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Previous experience in an agency setting preferred.
• Experience in higher education or regulated-vertical marketing preferred.
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, code structure, and JSON-LD preferred.
• Experience with enterprise or higher education CMS platforms preferred.
• Knowledge of embeddings or vector-similarity analysis preferred.
