This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of the comprehensive SEO program.
• Regularly perform performance analyses compared against Federal, DoD, and industry standards.
• Provide actionable insights and recommendations to leadership.
• Set SEO baseline metrics and KPIs, reporting progress against established targets.
• Evaluate search visibility, user engagement, conversion rates, and overall technical SEO health.
• Execute validation checks for SEO, including broken links, HTTP errors, and site performance issues.
• Collaborate with technical stakeholders to resolve identified issues.
• Spearhead keyword research aimed at user intent and long-tail search behaviors.
• Develop and implement strategies for internal linking, schema markup, and optimizing site speed.
• Formulate link-building and content promotion strategies to enhance domain authority.
• Expand the SEO strategy to include voice search and event-specific landing pages.
• Integrate audience research and communication planning into keyword targeting and content priorities.
• Contribute SEO test scenarios and success metrics for usability testing initiatives.
• Provide guidance on content strategy, lifecycle management, planning, and governance.
• Advise content and editorial teams regarding SEO best practices.
• Offer SEO and keyword insights for paid and earned media planning.
• Optimize social media and community-facing content for searchability and visibility.
• Direct social media content planning using keyword and search trend insights.
• Conduct staff training sessions and SEO workshops.
• Provide regular SEO reporting and present findings to government stakeholders.
• Perform additional relevant duties as qualified or trained.
• Active Secret Clearance is required.
• BA/BS in Marketing, Digital Communications, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 10 years of practical SEO experience.
• Proven experience in technical SEO, on-page optimization, and content-driven SEO strategies for large, high-traffic websites.
• Familiarity with SEO/analytics tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog, or their equivalents.
• Experience in setting and tracking SEO KPIs and delivering data-driven performance reports to non-technical stakeholders.
• Working knowledge of schema markup/structured data, site speed optimization, and technical SEO diagnostics.
• Proven experience in developing keyword strategies based on user intent and long-tail search research.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
• Preferred: experience supporting SEO for DoD, federal, or government-facing digital initiatives.
• Preferred: expertise in voice-search optimization and FAQ/structured content strategies.
• Preferred: relevant certifications such as Google Analytics, HubSpot SEO, or SEMrush.
• Preferred: experience mentoring junior SEO or content personnel.
