Senior Security Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Perform security evaluations, risk analyses, and develop action plans.

• Create and assess secure architectures for applications, networks, and cloud platforms.

• Establish, review, and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines.

• Assist development teams in implementing DevSecOps practices and ensuring security throughout the SDLC.

• Manage security incidents by coordinating response initiatives and documenting lessons learned.

• Present technical and executive briefings, effectively communicating risks in terms of business impact.

• Advise and influence stakeholders to adopt best practices in cybersecurity.

• Act as a technical authority within a complex corporate environment, aiding technology teams and business operations in safeguarding data and maintaining operational continuity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in cybersecurity, information security, or offensive/defensive security at a senior level.

• Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls, or similar standards.

• In-depth knowledge of networking, operating systems, system hardening, and cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

• Background in vulnerability management, security testing, and incident response.

• Proficient in communicating with both technical and executive audiences, with a solid grasp of risk and business implications.

• Willingness to operate under an independent contractor model (PJ or similar).

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent qualifications.

• Experience in regulated sectors (financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, or utilities).

• Prior experience with SIEM, SOAR, IAM/IDM, DLP, and monitoring solutions.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and a DevSecOps culture.
