Senior Security Engineer, Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Safeguard and manage cloud and Kubernetes environments that support Chainalysis products and the Hosted AI Platform (HAIP).

• Diagnose Kubernetes workloads and cloud services, focusing on pod health, logs, errors, latency, and issues with upstream providers.

• Implement approved Terraform and Kubernetes modifications to enhance the security and reliability of HAIP and the broader cloud infrastructure.

• Enhance AWS and edge/network controls, including IAM, networking, secrets management, encryption, logging, and Cloudflare integration.

• Minimize recurring misconfigurations by developing reusable patterns and runbooks.

• Utilize Python or comparable scripting to automate operational tasks and monitoring improvements.

• Engage in the AI Product on-call rotation.

• Assess production alerts, communicate effectively, and escalate issues when necessary.

• Collaborate with Infrastructure Security, Platform Engineering, AI Core, and other engineering partners to mitigate risks at their source.

• Ensure the successful completion of security and infrastructure fixes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience with production cloud infrastructure, ideally in AWS.

• Understanding of security controls, such as IAM, networking, secrets, encryption, or logging.

• Practical experience with production Kubernetes, including workload inspection, log analysis, and troubleshooting failures via command-line tools.

• Proven experience in authoring Terraform modifications that have been reviewed and deployed to a production environment.

• Proficient in delivering changes through Git and managing pull requests.

• Experience in production on-call or incident response situations.

• Skilled in alert investigation, effective communication, and sound escalation judgment.

• Proficient in Python or similar scripting languages.

• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.

• Experience in collaborating with stakeholders throughout the R&D organization.

• Experience with AI/ML infrastructure, LLM platforms, or services that integrate with model providers (preferred).

• Understanding of AI gateway concepts such as model routing or quotas (preferred).

• Experience with Cloudflare or other edge/network security tools (preferred).

• Exposure to tools like Wiz, Prisma Cloud, or Orca (preferred).

• Familiarity with Argo CD or Flux (preferred).

• Knowledge of blockchain, crypto, fintech, or regtech infrastructure (preferred).

• Legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States without restrictions.
