Infrastructure Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the design, implementation, and management of OpenStack and Kubernetes environments tailored for GPU workloads.

• Develop and enhance infrastructure utilizing infrastructure-as-code and GitOps methodologies.

• Propel automation throughout provisioning, deployment, and operational processes.

• Enhance GPU workload scheduling through the use of Kubernetes and NVIDIA tools.

• Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to maintain platform stability.

• Lead incident response efforts and promote continuous improvements in reliability.

• Uphold security measures across infrastructure and container layers, including RBAC, network policies, and tenant isolation.

• Collaborate with Platform, DevOps, AI, Product, and Support teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with customer and platform needs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive practical experience in Linux systems administration.

• Strong, demonstrated capability in building servers and racks, including the physical assembly, cabling, and commissioning of hardware.

• Direct, hands-on experience working in data centers and physically stacking and racking hardware on-site.

• Willingness and ability to travel to sites in Quebec as needed.

• Solid understanding of networking and storage systems.

• Experience with installing, racking, and configuring GPU hardware, particularly with NVIDIA platforms (desirable).

• Production experience managing OpenStack and/or Kubernetes at scale (desirable).

• Familiarity with infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and Git-based workflows (desirable).

• Broader exposure to HPC or large-scale computing environments (desirable).

• Contributions to open-source projects (desirable).
