Senior Security Engineer – Identity Access Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Strengthen the security framework of the company's enterprise and cloud-native environments, emphasizing Identity and Access Management (IAM).

• Design, develop, and manage security solutions across various platforms and technologies.

• Utilize data to identify trends, metrics, and opportunities for enhancing the company’s security posture.

• Investigate options and provide recommendations to secure identified opportunities in collaboration with stakeholders.

• Lead and improve incident and issue response initiatives.

• Drive analysis, containment, and mitigation strategies in a collaborative environment.

• Ensure the effective resolution and remediation of security incidents and issues.

• Develop and update security documentation, including policies, standards, baselines, and standard operating procedures.

• Work with various teams to align security solutions with organizational needs and facilitate secure enterprise operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent foreign degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a security engineer in an enterprise setting across multiple security disciplines.

• At least four (4) years of experience in managing security posture.

• Three (3) years of experience in a technical leadership role.

• Familiarity and experience with enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems, including authentication protocols, authorization mechanisms, and directory services.

• Experience with Federated Identity platforms, particularly Okta or Microsoft Entra ID.

• Practical ability to support underlying infrastructure and directly troubleshoot and resolve issues within Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) tools, specifically Omada or Lumos.

• Experience in deploying IAM and IGA frameworks within complex enterprise environments.

• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Automation skills in Python, Terraform, or PowerShell.

• Experience in Data Security Operations and ensuring regulatory compliance.

• Proven experience in developing automated metrics to assess program effectiveness.
