Senior Security Engineer – eDiscovery, Investigations, Insider Risk

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gather and analyze data from company infrastructure, cloud storage, laptops, and various tools for investigative and legal purposes.

• Ensure adherence to legal data privacy and retention regulations.

• Process raw data to extract crucial evidence and convert telemetry into concise timelines for security and legal teams.

• Oversee the enterprise eDiscovery process, ensuring that pertinent data is collected, processed, and reviewed in accordance with legal standards.

• Conduct forensic analysis for Insider Risk investigations and coordinate digital forensics in support of legal activities.

• Design and develop AI-driven automation tools for data aggregation and preservation.

• Create and refine governance policies for the eDiscovery Program, Investigations, and data classification.

• Utilize AI, analytics, and multilingual technology across eDiscovery, forensics, due diligence, privacy, managed review, and investigation initiatives.

• Assist with Litigation Holds by safeguarding communications and files relevant to ongoing or potential lawsuits.

• Choose, implement, and maintain specialized eDiscovery software and digital forensics tools.

• Support ongoing insider threat cases through targeted collections, in-depth forensic searches, and digital evidence extraction.

• Develop automated scripts to integrate user activity logs from endpoints, identity management systems, and repositories into precise timelines.

• Extract and organize complex data payloads into structured reports for Insider Risk, Human Resources, and Legal partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in Security Operations and more than 4 years in eDiscovery.

• Strong understanding of eDiscovery principles (EDRM) and Legal Hold Administration and management.

• Extensive proficiency in analyzing and querying cloud audit logs to reconstruct user activity.

• Experience in handling unstructured data extraction, normalization, and indexing at a large, cloud-native scale.

• Significant technical experience managing enterprise eDiscovery platforms, digital forensics software, and SIEM infrastructure.

• Direct experience in executing data collections, preserving evidence, and formatting data packages under strict digital chain-of-custody protocols.

• Proficient in at least one query language (e.g., SQL, ES/QL).

• Capable of scripting or automating in programming languages (e.g., Python, Go) to enhance API integrations and collection workflows.

• The applicant must be a U.S. person, eligible to access export-controlled information without requiring export authorization, or eligible and likely to obtain necessary export authorization.

• Willingness to work outside standard business hours when necessary.
